NICK THIEL 

Nick Thiel was born in Appleton, WI on May 21st, 1989. He has lived and studied in Madison and Milwaukee Wisconsin. He received a degree in Religious Studies from UW Madison in 2012 and an Associates Degree in Information Systems Security from FWTC in Appleton. Nick started writing at age 13. He studied with Ellen Kort, poet laureate of Wisconsin at the Reinassance School for the Arts, a charter school in the Appleton area school district. He currently works in IT and as a father raising his two year old daughter, Sylvie. He lives in Appleton, WI and enjoys traveling and speaking.

'Magic Lantern Love' is his first comlpeted work. A novel, "Life In the Outs" chronicling his time spent incarcerated is slated for publication in 2020. He is currently working on his second book of poetry.

Nick also works part time as a music journalist for Jaffray Media.
